after telling the buyer that this sight was a fake and showing him the links to this thread and one over at the CC forum this is the feedback he left after receiving his $400 fake sight. I guess he knows more then we do.

Even long time collectors can be fooled about reproduction parts. I mean if one doesn't know the difference then one doesn't ( sorry, grammar ).

I seriously wonder if some buyers truly care if the part is fake or not... a means to an end thing perhaps. I keep seeing things that make me wonder what are they looking at. Stuff like barrel band shadows, all types of fake parts, fake cartouches and clearly cobbled together guns. I guess everyone has a starting point, if that is what it is. I did and many other collectors I've spoken with did too. But if one doesn't care whether it's fake or real, why does integrity matter?
