Default Received my CMP Remington Rand on Oct 15th

With RNG 9354 I certainly thought I was out of the running. Got the call on a Monday 10/14 and had it the next day.

Itís a Service grade Remington Rand with Remington Rand slide. Serial number 2382534 that was shipped April 1945. Augusta Arsenal rebuild.

Iím interested in if anyone may know what the ď50Ē stamped in the frame represents.

Thanks for looking.

The 50 stamp would have been applied post manufacture. It most likely is some type of inventory control such as a rack number applied somewhere along the line after it was accepted my the military.

The 50 is most likely a rack number. You did well...enjoy!!

Yea, rack inventory number. Directives were later put out to not do this anymore and use only tags, paint or taped on ID so as to not deface weapons.
