Default Service Grade Remington Rand picked up this morning

Picked up my service grade Remington Rand this morning. Frame and slide are Remington Rand and it looks to me like it's the original finish. Looks to me like it has a replacement barrel that matches the finish really well.

Sorry about the crappy cell phone pictures but I couldn't wait to post it.

I would have been happy with anything but I really wanted a 1911A1 as I wanted a shooter so this is like Christmas morning to me. Slide stop looks like a replacement to me otherwise everything else matches very well.

I'm very happy to have this one and still can't believe they held out to my RGN of 9254.

I would have been happy with anything including battleship gray but I have to say I was pretty damn giddy when I saw the finish.

It is a Type III slide in case anyone is wondering. The weather here sucks today so I'll try to get better pictures up in the next day or so.

Looks to be in extremely close condition to my R-R/R-R M1911A1, serial #2222xxx. I'd provide the last numbers if I could remember them just this second.
Very, very nice. Congratulations!

+1 Ray. I think that's a great-looking pistol and like the finish on it. Last set of pics really do it justice.
To follow up on the PM traffic, congrats and glad it worked out for you.
