Default Gun Insurance At Eastern Ins. Company

I got the tip here last year about their gun insurance. They are mailing me paperwork to read over.

Has anyone here had or heard of any bad experiences with them?

My present insurance is roughly $120 for $7500 in coverage and theirs is $150 for $40,000 worth.

I've had the same experience as Stewbaby - had a policy with them for many years but not had any claims (thank God). They provide blanket coverage for a very reasonable price. They also provide a discount for NRA members.

I have a different coverage amount, but yes, that should be the yearly rate.

Yes, those are yearly rates, they also just introduced Ammunition and reloading equipment/parts rider's if you have 'deep' stocks, Also a 'False Pretense' policy rider. Since Mr. Richardson's death, his associate has carried on the policy program and Laura is the one who answers when you call for quotes and to write a policy... If your an NRA member, that discounts the policy a bit as a courtesy.

I've been using them for years now. But my rate was $150 for $27,000. They now also offer coverage for ammo and reloading equipment. Reloading equipment is $50 for $15,000 or $100 for $25,000. Ammo is $75 for $15,000 or $125 for $25,000.

As I recall you don't have to send them a list of guns with value except if one exceeds a certain amount. Mine don't individually exceed the amount Even my custom BR rifle.

That is correct, but it is highly recommended you keep a very detailed record of all firearms and other items covered in case you have to make a claim. In that event, you will have to provide evidence of their individual value.

Has anyone ever had a claim with any gun insurance company? How easy was it to get them to pay, were there any problems?
Doesn't matter what their rates are if they don't pay out
