There's a few cans on Gunbroker at $155 with no bidders. In fact, seems like 90% of the M1 items have no bids.

I saw a 240 round spam can for $175.00, yesterday at a gun show. I don't know if it sold or not. I didn't see many people even looking at it.

As painful as the prices for 192 round spam cans ($140 seeming typical these days), this is still about as cheap as you can find .30-06. If the CMP is able to acquire more ammo and makes the price $100 / spam can, that's still going to be a great price.

RC Arms has greek $75 for 100 rds, $70 LC (boxed) 100rds, $69 LC (loose) 100rds. I bought the loose LC. Shipping will depend on where it's going, think mine total was $80~$85.

For just $20 more, you could get a 200 round case of Federal M1 Garand 30-06. Midway USA has a case of 200 listed at $194. Id buy the Federal commercial stuff rather than pay prices like the above for SURPLUS ammo. The surplus stuff is likely to have 5% to 15% bad bullets per spam can (CMP says so), whereas the new commercial stuff is likely to be good every bullet.

If youre gonna pay prices like $180, makes more sense just to buy the new commercially made stuff IMO.

I think Orest mentioned it would be six to twelve months before any surplus M2 is back in the e-store.
