Gotta' ask when did The Military Sealift Command acquire M1A Rifles and who manufactured them?

Thanks,

They are SA Inc std M1As. Usually a local range/gun shop will maintain 10-20 rifles and the MSC sends folks to the range 1-2 times per year to qualify. After a couple of years the rifles are sold through the local shop. Some have rack numbers on the stocks.

Has anyone who asked questions heard back from Sailorman on this rifle? I have sent emails and PMs with no response.

Located on the eastern shore he may be a bit distracted by the aftermath of hurricane Irene.

bbturn, that is possible. His original post was two days after Irene blew through VA, but the flooding days later is often worse. We will just wait and see.

Sorry all. Had major Irene damage and boat parted company with mooring and blew up on shoal. Have been out dealing with salvager. How fun. I have sold the M1A. Apologies.
