Sorting through some stuff to make room and came across these 3 cheekpads. I think the dated one is genuine and the other two marked MRT are repro. Would the group mind helping me confirm? Thanks.

I agree with your assessment. The triangle pattern of the end sewing is an indication of original.

Thanks guys, I have moved the repros over to the WTS and the original goes back in the drawer. I appreciate the comments.

If you look at the actual cotton padding inside of the pads I would be willing to bet the top one is grey in color and the other two are white??? The repros I have seen in the past all had white padding. That is not to say all repros ever made had white padding, but known ones I have seen certainly did.

The date one is an original USGI. The other 2 are repops. Good point about the inserts. Originals were felt, not white Styrofoam.

I'm a novice M1D owner and am unclear about this "triangle pattern" that evidenced USGI. Could you please elaborate?

Inserts are a dead giveaway! dark grey felt.
