Hello Garand Friends,
Just thought I would share this. I have a March 1944 2716377 SA that i assembled from individual parts, as "correct" as I could make it. The receiver was stripped, when I bought it. Have been going through photos and I noticed this SA 1-65 electro-penciled rebuilt mark on the front receiver leg. I did not think much of it, as I was more focused on assembling a 1944 rifle. Many of you seem interested in this aspect of Garand history, which is why I am sharing it. https://imgur.com/a/zz43sG7 |

I think it’s a neat part of the rifles history and I consider it a bonus.
I had one that was rebuilt the same month and year at Springfield. |
