Default Expert opinions on CMP 1903

My wonderful wife stopped at the South Store this weekend and with the help of Bobby and Jeff brought home a 6/42 vintage Remington 1903, serial number 3127728. She paid a little extra since it has a "C" stock on it, but it was easily worth it. Here are where the expert opinions are requested:

1) the stock has a boxed RIA over FK cartouche. Different books have different stories of leftover RIA stocks being used in early Remington manufacturing and different timeframes for the use of this cartouche....what say you?

2) the bigger mystery is the barrel, it is a SA 12-18. The books say the rifle should have an RA 5-42 so was this a replacement? Were barrels that old used in arsenal refurbishment?

3) The Bolt and hardware are all correct for a Pre modified Remington 1903 making the barrel and stock the only pieces which don't line up on the time line of the rifle build.

Thoughts, insights and opinions are appreciated.
