Default IP

If it is an "Erwin Petterson" why is it marked IP?

Good start to a nice IP carbine.

Does anyone know of current pricing? I'm glad I got mine at $255 about a year ago.

And here I am going nuts thinking I saw it listed this morning for 375. Guess seller did some research, but will now sweat out if/till it sells!

Hard to say, current pricing seems to be whatever one whats to pay at a given moment, on hard to find items. You did very well IMO. Building a IP from a receiver or a Import marked gun is fun, or should I say the hunt for the parts can be fun but with the high prices on hard to find items it's become cost prohibitive IMHO. The upside in the hunt is learning and identifying the correct parts as well as the USGI from the reproduction. Sometimes it hurts too.

The first carbine I bought was an inland that came with an IP slide so I built mine around that. How is that for starting from scratch.
Actually that just made me want the rest and I found one at a Rock Island auction that had an original barrel (but import marked) but nothing else IP. I put a little cold blue on the mark and it almost disappeared.
I just need a front site and a barrel band to have that one "corrected".
