Default New Member with an M1917

Hi Folks,

I'm a new member on the list and could use some advice on how to request stuff. I'm the owner of a nice (Winchester) M1917 Enfield. It was sporterized with a sport stock but I'm looking to restore it to milspec configuration. I need the mounting hardware for the stock (bands, screws, escutcheons) - the rifle has the original bolt, magazine and stock mounting screws along with the original sights. Help?

Rick, First, welcome to the forum. I'm sure you'll find all the information you need here. Now, about your 1917. Are you looking to rebuild it with all Winchester parts or just get it looking military. You can post WTB want to buy requests right hear on the forum. You can also get parts from Numrich Arms, Sarco ( they can be hit or miss ) Liberty Tree just to name a few. You can find parts on eBay also. The forum Sellers are great and you won't have to worry about the parts authenticity. Eddie

Thanks for getting back to me - I will get pics later on today but what I'm looking for is just to get it looking military again. They don't have to be Winchester parts although that'd be preferred. The barrel is still original and I'm pleased with how it shoots.
