Default WTS: Navy Mk 2/Mod 0 Garand

Have for sale a Navy Mark 2/Mod 0 Rifle in .308

The Navy Gun was the Navy's solution to the M14, when the Garands were being transitioned out of service. Early rifles used sleeve inserts until the later variations were manufactured which incorporated a .308 manufactured barrel [SA, SA SPL, AMF, H&R]

3.4M Receiver and SA 1-45 Barrel are matched. Barrel has the sleeve insert which was used on the earlier guns

SA 1-45 Barrel has a ME: 1.8

SA DAS Stock

SA 9 Curved OpRod (modified)

T3 Lockbar Sight

Wide Based Gas Cylinder

Other parts typical on a 1945 Garand

Very clean example of the Early Navy Rifles

Asking $1,595 shipped to your FFL

Looking for 1st "I will take it"

Thanks for looking

What sort of markings does it have to indicate the navy 7.62 conversion?
Does it have the spacer in the clip area to indicate 7.62?

The barrel marked H & R and 7.62 NATO shows that it is a Navy conversion. Original barrel stamp indicated made by SA in 1-45. Navy is the only branch of service that converted 30 Cal to 7.62 as I recall. If barrel were not sleeved it wouldn't have the SA markings.
