I usually go to either aimsurplus or check one of the various search engines for ammo prices. As for steel vs brass, steel is REAL handy when you're shooting in the woods/fields and policing your soon-to-be-lost brass is a pain in the neck. It'll rot sooner than the brass stuff and it represents less $$$ down the tubes. Find ammo at a good sale price, stock up and don't worry about election price gouging. Keep some brass for reloading when prices are too out of whack.

Iíve shot the pvri stuff in 06, 30 carbine and 7mm08. Itís good stuff and itís my primary plinking ammo for my garands. Hard to believe how good it is for the price and I saw good deals recently at targetsportsusa. Outdoor limited usually has decent prices too
