Default 1903 Warner & Swasey?

I see just about everything listed as legal in the new rule book for the 1903 except the Warner & Swasey scope. The A5 Winchester is the same vintage but the W&S was either overlooked or intentionally omitted. Just wondering if the CMP will consider them legal?

hmm...dont know if legal, but I doubt I would risk shooting any of mine! Though, if you have shot yours, curious how it held up and results.

It would be a legal setup for "in-competition". We just figured anybody that had one wouldn't risk shooting it on a regular basis.

The Warner Swazey scope was also used on the Candian Ross Rifle and P14 (Rifle No. 3 Mk1 T*).

I agree that shooting any WW1 vintage scope is a risky proposition. Optics do not improve with age.

Jim
