Default JROTC sticker on CMP GAW. Take it off?

The stock is very decent condition and was acquired by buying a drill. I imagine the sticker diminishes the value som what?

Take it off, take it all off?
Reminds me of my Dad's racey 45 rpm records we found as kids.

Your plans for the stock will determine your course of action.

If you are skilled in this sort of thing then go for it. Otherwise, if you are planning to sell it, don't touch it. Let the new buyer fool with removing the decal. If I was the buyer want it "as is", and I'd keep the decal on the stock.

If you take it off plan on refinishing the stock, or the spot where the sticker once was wont match the rest of the stocks patina. Its not hard to do, theres lots of stuff that will help get the sticker and residue off

Food for thought. I received a Springfield FG Turk return about a year ago with a beautiful SA/GAW stock. Best cartouches I've seen in person on an M1 Garand. The stock unfortunately had sharpie on the right side advising it belonged to a VFW in New Mexico. I removed it as it looked very unprofessional in my opinion with cheese cloth and RLO. If you can safely remove the sticker, I'd say do so but transfer it to something else you can display alongside the rifle to maintain its history. If it can be done. My two cents. I don't like stickers/ writing on my rifles.
