Hi Men & Ladies,

Please tell ALL other posters YOU know, to post GhostInTheMachine NOW!
He is apparently in a tight spot right now, with some unhappy people.

"WE" must To try to keep the Marketplace / Buy & sell section OPEN!
As you know in life ....There are just some people "WE" can't please.

Thanks to all the posters that have replied!

In all my years as forum member I have never had a bad experience selling or purchasing items on the Buy and Sell section of the forum. If the unhappy buyers would check reviews they would get a good idea if the seller is legit. Ghost, don't kill a good thing because of a few bad apples or chronic complainers. Eddie

Id definitely like to see the Sale and Parts Wanted Forums to be continued. Ive been able to locate several key parts here for an Inland that I was restoring. Had it not been for this forum, the restoration would have not been completed.

Hi All,

This was originally posted to a member ...apparently he removed it a few moments before I posted this message.

I agree with you that the CMP management will do as it feels must be done.
As you know the CMP forum provides many great services to all it's members!
"WE" all want that mission to continue.

The marketplace section of the board has provided many thousands of members with parts & in many cases information, on how to properly install them.
It is a invaluable tool to keep the firearms we love up & functioning for future generations. The vast majority of parts costs are priced fairly & shipping is always less then parts dealers shipping rates!

Many others & I feel it would be a disservice to ALL members, if it is ended.
This problem has come about because some small # of people were not happy with a item.
As you know the SQUEAKY wheel gets the grease! Just look at the national news anytime!

Thanks for your post ,

Hope not. Never had a bad deal here on the CMP. Got a lot of good parts from some really smart people.

Hi Fellows,

Just realized this problem really bothers me. LOL

I for one would really would like to know what percent of the total number of deals done here were not pleased! Say one year are in actual numbers ?

I recommend talk to the person first in a calm manner & try to resolve the problem, less return shipping costs!
I know one fellow that wants pictures before he will send cash. If he gets a wrong or a switched product, he has PROOF of a deception!

.Yes, there are a few bad apples in the crowd! BUT, it's NOT the CMP problem!
I think the CMP is very effective at banning bad apples!
Ask for reference's, if you think you need to!

As I mentioned before, your Credit card company, Paypal? The very skilled USPS police unit, local police are usually helpful, the ATF & FBI can & will get on the people if firearms, are involved.
A few posters on the board & many PM's have said they never saw a open post about a bad deal.

If "XYZ" did not deal with me in good faith... I KNOW, I would let others know he was not to be dealt with.
A great thinker said-

PS I once bought a C-96 broomhandle from some small dealer in Conn through Shotgun News.
I had a three day inspection period! I called him the day it was delivered & let him know I was returning it! It went back the next day with tracking!
He stalled me for about a month! I was not a happy camper!

I called the local police in Conn. finely got the right person!
Explained the problem. Two days later the guy called to say the check was in the mail-including return shipping! I was happy to call him back when the check arrived.
