I have 3 CMP rimfires.
82G
52D
40X standard barrel

Best scores shooting the 100 yard matches were done with the 40X and Center-X. The 52 and the 82 were not far behind. Probably some driver error to consider to be honest though.

Don't let my Winchester 52 know but my heavy barrel 40X has always given me a slightly better group. In its defense, my Win 52 is a bit more tired than my CMP 40X (or maybe it is just me that is tired).

Best Regards,

I was number 1 inline during the old warehouse 22 rimfire blowout sale 2011 or 12. They had all models i believe cept the early early one. They for sure had B, C, D and maybe a E.

I stayed over night on bench in front of warehouse. I walked in and started piling blued steel on counter and handing rifles double fisted to Leon as I knew this would be this big last Hoorah for good .22's and it was. Dan Henk was right behind me in line.

They had some pristine 52D's and 40XB's. I learned a good lesson that day. Those trainers that were so nice looking shot like monkee nutz. Those beat up well used only dropped 100 times trainers shot one holes. Then I got clued as to why.
All the kids wanted to shoot the best gun. . . . . Why it was beat to chit. I still have my beat to crap 40x prone Irons rifle. Will drive em at 100 and 200yds.
