NIW 0-66 USMC M1 coming up!

Its been "repacked" since 1999...

Probably opened and inspected for corrosion then repacked in new VCI wrapping.

I see nothing special about this rifle, just like any other dry SA or Letterkenny rebuild. Its more valuable than the boxed 1996 lottery M1Ds??? What in the world am I missing here???

For one it has the grease pencil markings on it which is typically associated with the Marines Corps rebuilds. It has the USMC rebuild O-66 marking on the receiver. Basically an unused USMC rebuild. I bid on it but I'm done now.

I guess to each his own,
I have a dry Letterkenny rebuild with the grease pencil marks and stamp and a dry SA rebuild and neither were over 1500$ from the CMP or private sales, so I was a bit confused over the excitement surrounding this rifle, another dry rebuild.

Its basically the same thing as a Navy Trophy rifle...without the awards papers.

While "neat"...it's not an OMG coolest thing ever...well at least not to me...YMMV
