Default Outrageous mag price.

This eBay buyer is going to be mad when he finds out this mag is a Taiwan contract mag and has nothing about it that is USGI.

Going over $150 with tax.

Originally sold for $10 years ago. Very nice mag but seller is liar.

Not allowed to show auction link.

I am sitting on dozens and dozens of them.

Caveat emptor, always.

That's about $20 for the magazine and $115 for the piece of waxy paper.

Knowledge / information is power.

That's the least of his worries (the sellers) as eBay prohibits the purchase or offering of magazines over 10 rounds. Say buh bye to both accounts when the bots catch up with them.

How can you identify these? Are they marked or is it from how they're constructed?

some are marked with a single number or star on lower spine. many are unmarked. that paper wrapper was the best way to know. outside that wrapper the only way is to compare it to another.

I think eBay has a "Don't ask, don't tell" policy. On any given day there are dozens of M1 Carbine 15 round magazines up for bids.

As far as the 30 round magazine goes, how would a buyer know it was made in Taiwan? If it's not marked as such, my bet is the buyer will never be the wiser and will be happy.

It depends on how many times a particular seller has been caught selling prohibited magazines and the timespan of their auctions. I've been smacked enough by them that I am extremely reluctant to sell GI carbine mags on eBay. And don't think it's just the searchbots that catch things like this, it's also your fellow competitors who will flag an auction to give themselves a bit more elbowroom.
