It will but it will most likely be generic info like we are getting with the 1911s. Someone just posted their results on the garand section.

I submitted a FOIA in February 2020 and received an answer in June 2020. My CMP Ithaca/Ithaca was originally shipped to Benicia Ordnance Depot - Army Point California July 27, 1944. At that time it was transferred to the USMC. Then it appears in the registry January 6, 1988 as a shipment by the Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany, Albany, Georgia to Anniston Munitions Center, Anniston, Alabama where it was received February 2, 1988. At that time there is a long list of serial number reconciliations on the weapon until it was shipped to CMP on February 2, 2018. February 26, 2019 I was the lucky recipient of the weapon. Although I'm a retired Army Sergeant Major, I now am the keeper of this US Marine Corps history and very proud to own it. Would love to know about it's USMC career.

I think I put like $25 - just because it was worth it to me.

I originally requested it and was sent to another angency, then the same GSA employee answered me that answered many folks. He is very busy.

The guys that got info before the 80's is really nice. Mine came out of Japan, so assume it was sent there with a unit post-war (could ahve been in the 60's or 70's for all I know).

Thank you, CSM. I sent my request to DLA thinking the Loggies would have the info. They kept telling me it was too nebulous and beyond their scope.

Iíll give DA a shot.

Where in the form do you specify this? What about records that might pertain to the USMC or other branches?

Harrington & Richardson 5,549,399.

Aren't all handguards "UPPER"? If they were "LOWER", wouldn't they be "STOCK".

M1 Garand; Trigger Pack, Gas Tube?????????

"REPO" M1 Parts: The parts you buy that they come to take back later on.

"Furniture" is NOT stocks and handguards.

I just wanted to verify, is this the link you guys are using for the FOIA request?

https://www.rmda.army.mil/FOIARequest/default.aspx

I thought I looked at another link the other night but can't seem to find it again.
