Default D Day Matches

I think that 2019 will be the 75th anniversary of the D Day invasion. Has CMP reconsidered allowing Springfields and Enfields in this match? All were carried during the invasion and I think it would really up match attendance.

Great idea Bruce. I have spent a large part of my career in sales and marketing. Seems like CMP could be a little more aggressive in "selling" that big, beautiful, multi-million dollar Talladega facility!

Don't take this the wrong way but every one of us CMP customers have bought and paid for it, they don't need to "sell" anything about it. The only thing that bothers me is I live to far away to enjoy it!

CMP Talladega may be bought and paid for, but if it doesn't stay busy and at least cover operating costs, it is a very poor investment.

Interesting. In the post below from last year's D Day match there are several suggesting CMP allow bolt guns.
I assumed they were allowed, been meaning to attend this match for a few years.
I personally enjoy shooting against the masses with one of my bolt guns.

that's why we should participate in as many of the matches as we possibly can. there were only three of us at the january 800 agg match. too bad, it was a beautiful day and probably the only time i've seen little or no wind on this range. not much help for my sorry self but it was really nice.

I see they have the draft schedule up. Looks like they’ll be allowing Springfield’s and vintagebolts to be used. Hope it’s a goof, but they’re not showing the EIC rifle match. Not sure if me and the group I travel with to this every year will go if the cut out the leg match.

Default D Day Match

I just looked at the proposed D-Day match schedule and CMP has added the As Issue 1911 and Mil and Police match to the event. Good job CMP and thanks. Bruce J.
