I'm kinda new to figuring out what correct parts make the rifle correct. Right now I am looking at Scott Duff's book "The M1 Garand serial Numbers& Data sheets" and wouldn't his bolt be to early to be correct? Would the correct one be 6528287 HRA *U* without the D? Or would it still be correct just old stock at the time?

HRA did have a lot of contractors. Case in point the HRA marked gas plugs and the HRA O plugs. Also, the correct rear sights could have HRA-W on the windage nob or DRC. Wouldn't both be correct?
