Thinking about signing up for SAFS rifle next year. Do they still provide a rifle & is it scoped? Ammo?
Thanks Chuck |

They provide rifle, ammo, sling, and mags. The rifle is NOT scoped, it's an A2 with irons.

Technically mine was an A4 as the carry handle was removable, but it was a Rock River NM model. Sights are 1/2-minute elevation and windage with hooded apertures. They all appeared to have had the barrels replaced somewhat recently with Saturn barrels. Ammo was Federal gold medal with 77-gr Sierra Match Kings. Slings were M1 style web slings. It would be well worth your time as you can’t buy the ammo and a t-shirt for the amount of the entry fee.

You should definitely attend SAFS.
The training value/cost if off the charts! They will teach you "Theory" in the classroom. The six steps to firing an accurate shot. I think this course is so good, I've made wallet size flyers that I hand out to promote it. Don't just think about it. Do it. ![]()
