Default Colt 1911 from The CMP

This is the gun my wife received in the last two weeks. I have several great folks on this site working on helping me get together all the historical information they can find on this pistol.I can only wish you all receive a gun in the future as nice as this one if you are still waiting on one.CMP thanks a homerun for us for sure. It is fantastic. More info to follow as I receive it on this firearm. What I have found out so far is it has been there and done that.
Thanks to all for your help.
