Default '43 AFH Modified Bayonet ... What else can you tell me? -PIC HEAVY-

Hi, All!

I hope to ultimately get in on the 16" bayonets, but in the seemingly likely event that I miss out, I didn't want to be left with nothing. So, I ordered and recently received an AFH modified bayonet to go along with my one and only Garand (2.1 mil SA). It came with a nice E-US scabbard (which I would love to trade for USGI if anyone is interested). I have done research and have a basic understanding of these bayonets and their history. But, I would love for some of you that have deeper backgrounds on these to take a look at mine and tell more about it. Grips, finish, markings, or what ever else you may see. I would ultimately like to make it "WWII correct", as long as that wouldn't break the bank. Any and all insight is welcomed.

Thanks!

Jason

Jason;

Check out this excellent web site. Gary Cunningham often visits this set of Forums. Perhaps he'll chime in here as he's the expert.

Till then, check it out here.

Thanks for the reply, H.S.!

I have actually been browsing that site, and man, there is a lot of good stuff there. There is so much information, I am sure I will be going back to it for quite a while.
