Default Magna's North Store Report

Ok now I'm at the parents I can post this as they have internet! So as I expected this trip was very difficult to shop for. Most everyone was found something via their list or a change based on a phone call.

So obviously there were not SG other than SG Specials. Found a LMR HRA Special that got sent home and a 5.79 Special. Otherwise they all very much the same in the common serial blocks but all very nice.

SA FG's there were about 6 and you can see why they were there.

WRA RG's there were about 6 of them and were rough but did find a RRAD rebuild that was given a home. Surprisingly they had decent barrels.

2 racks on the wall of WRA FG's and most were rough. Problem with them is you might find one with good metal and barrel but the wood was crap or mismatched. Like a walnut stock with beech handguards. They seem prone to have the foreign wood. There were some nice 6 digit receivers in there.

Plenty of HRA FG's and that is what everyone was looking through. Most had nice original finish and barrels but the wood had extra character marks. Most gauged around 2-3ME.

The Kimbers were nice not as much figure in the wood on this batch. A few were scratch free and many very faint and surface. Plenty found some homes.

Has FG/SG M1D's and M1C's and alot of good looking wood on them but didn't look at them much.

The Navy Br's were plenty all SA and many with great barrels also plenty with signs of being Match rifles at one point. Also alot have tighter ME but very high TE.

Other than that had some misc BR's, Mann devices, birch M14 stocks were rough, NM Rifles, drill rifles, 1917's.

All in all the guys got some things they wanted which is what matters.

Magna

Chris,
Do you remember what my Navy BR's barrel's spec'ed out too?
There was no tags and I was a wondering ME and TE as I do not have a gage set.
Thanks again, I'm really happy with what you picked for me and will be asking for more to make up these BR's you just got for me.
Merry Christmas!
Joe

Chris, was the Navy AMF's and H&R's gone? They would have been on the far right of the rack. Saturday there were at least 6 SA's with ME= +1 and TE= 2-3

Chris,

Thanks for looking for me. It's too bad the store didn't have what I was looking for, but maybe that's someone trying to tell me that I don't need a Garand!
