Default AFPG I received today

Just shipped in. No paperwork from cmp, DCM, or original owner. I will be writing to the cmp tomorrow for a serial number search.
Otherwise, input will be appreciated.
Thanks

I may. After I try to snag up a SG rebuild with excellent 60s era bbl.

Looks ok for a AFPG worked over 63 NM Type 2 30 cal.

CMP prob won't have anything on it ( Sales record ) as many NM Type 1 2's went straight to military marksmanship programs. Prob some old AF team members retirement rifle.

Nice rifle at great price.

Stock match receiver ? 7286 last four ?

Yes. Stock numbers are 7286 on right side and 5-64 on other. Interesting in the 4 is upside down.

On mine, a 7.62 NATO caliber model, the '7' in the date was struck sideways and struck over. It has a little 'u' shaped clip that hold the un-locked trigger guard up so as to prevent crushing the glass bedding.
