Top: SAI M21 Tactical Match w/ optional Kreiger SS barrel (made in 2007). Has a Weaver 5-20x FFP scope.
Middle: SAI M1A NM (49k SAI, made in May 1989). Has an ART II 3-9x scope
Bottom: SAI M1A NM (48k SAI, made in March 1989). Would like to find an ART I scope for this rifle.

Angle picture:

Other than a different finish on the op rods, the 48k and 49k SAI NM are almost identical (they are about 800 digits apart).

...just need to find a nice ART I scope at some point to have both flavors of an M21 replica.

Default GWLA build

Ren, that is a very nice looking build - esp that crazy striped stock and the TRW-esque roll marks on the receiver. I wish I could get a receiver like yours, but I think that window has closed....bummer.

Anyhow, it looks great...please keep us posted re the XM25 project...(I have collected several parts for an M25 replica, but still need a stock, receiver and barrel...)

Thank, it was an expensive build. The stock is an S.E. Overton with the "O" stamp present in the butt stock under the butt plate. It was picked from Fred's by Wade(Doug Carlton) who refinished it.
He did a great job, careful to preserve the cartouche marks including the armory stamp.

The rifle has these TRW parts:
Op-Rod
Op-Rod Guide
Barrel
Bolt
Hammer
Safety
Trigger Housing
Rear Sight Base
S.E. Overton Stock(they supplied TRW)

She is one of my favorites.

The worlds first scout hand guard for Medium weight M14 barrels.
My SHG-M arrived yesterday, here it is on a National Match Smith Enterprise M21A5 barrel.

A few Bula Defense receivers for the Spring season.

Hand tightened a few barrels while trying to decide which to use for the builds.

Got another XM21 nailed together with a Bula 20.5 inch 1/10 barrel target crowned.
Testing with a few different commercial cartridges she is running right around 1moa.

Scout hand guards :: One is on a standard weight barrel in the E2, and the other is on a medium heavy barrel in the Blackfeather RS.
These rifles are iron sight friendly, sound suppressor friendly, and LEE scout scopes & RDS that sit low don't require a cheek riser.
