Default Aguila 30 Carbine ammo slight issue

Had something odd happen at the range yesterday. My son and I were shooting and he was using my CMP Italian return M1 carbine. He was comparing my hand loads w/ some Aguila that I bought that the CMP was selling at the same time as the carbines.

Now I had purchased a bunch of this stuff and still have some in reserve. I have shot multiple boxes of it w/ no issue. I mainly got it for the brass. Anyway, yesterday we had one fired had a split case and another one had a big time flatten and pierced primer. Have never had that happen w/ Aguila before.

Anyone else? What say you, a bad batch?

I've not noticed any problems...other than the strange smell.....

I’ve shot a whole case bought probably about the same time as you...no problems.

Not crazy about my stock of Aguila - sometimes a big flash, and unburned powder everywhere. Much like really old commercial ammo that is dirty, as well.
There are better choices, my opinion.

Nothing like that but it was so dirty and inaccurate versus PPU and Remington that I sold what I had.
