Default Dupage rear handguards

Wondering if anyone else has tried to order the latest "hot deal" from Dupage. A box of 20 rear Garand handguards for $100. I decided to roll the dice and ordered a box, no idea if many will be any good or not. Free shipping on this too.

Heck, if only a half-dozen clean up nicely it will have been worth it. Those that are beyond salvation can feed your North Dakota fireplace this winter!

Too bad I don't have a fire place

I was thinking if just a few are useable it will be worth it, actually need a few front ones more. Wonder how long it will be before these sell out at this price?

Default Captain Crunch

I was told by the source that was there that over 100,000 garands were destroyed by the choppers with many other firearms. it was his job to find a company that could build a piece of equipment to destroy all those guns .He had a part in supervising their destruction. I heard a lot more on this subject including how the Garand parts business began.

Sad to think how many vintage Garands were lost. Pieces of history that deserved a chance at being the centerpiece in a good home. Glad the CMP is still operating and has been able to save many from what may very well have been the same fate. I am gonna include a donation in my next order.
