Not much too add. At lunch no surprises; still only SG 30-06 specials but interestingly 1 in the rack was an HRA. Really nice rifles. 1 WRA FG had a varnished birch stock set, rest hackberry. SG IHCs were getting a lot of interest but I didn't see any leave.

Default SA field grades this morning

There were 9 SA and 1 HRA field grades this morning, none of the SA had original barrels, the HRA was a 5.7 with LMR barrel, tag said 2+ MZ and 2 TE. my gauges showed about 1.5 MZ and 1.75 TE. There was a Y on the back of the tag ,Phillipine return?

The SA Field Grades there over those two days were visual proof of why I will never order one via on-line luck of the draw.

They were perfect advertisements for re-park and/or rebarrelling services.

Visited store four times over the week during nationals/rifle , didn't see anything worth buying.

IHC SG/FG were very rough, Turk patina'd finish, shiny gas cylinders, beat up muzzles , hackl stocks, WRA's not much better.

Only got to visit after shooting so maybe anything decent was long gone by 3 pm.

I deff wouldn't mail order a WRA/IHC SG or FG after seeing the ones in store.

Store used to be a Zoo during nationals when they had good stuff, this yr maybe one or two people were doing paperwork and most people looked around and left.

I got a HRA 30-06 Special, very nice.

I didnt see anything in the other racks of service or field grades that was vaguely interesting.

Nothing compared to Perry of 2009 for example.

I did get a little bit of a surprise on a bayonet that I picked up Wednesday. I decided to get another M5A1 bayonet. They threw a few boxes on the counter for me to look at. I was in a hurry and the 3rd box had a good looking, heavily cosmo coated and non Greek marked bayonet so I purchased it and left. A few days later I took another look at it and it is an Imperial M5 bayonet. I have plenty of M5A1ís and one M5-1 but this is my first M5.

They also had empty side open and post war ammo cans on sale for $10. I had never saw these available at the NS.

It has been nice to at least see some Garandís available to look through at the NS. Although nothing really appealed to me it did give people that donít own one and were wanting one the opportunity to look at a few and pick one out.
