I certainly hope this isn't the case.

I would assume they'd at least split what they've gone through since it seems like a lot of people are also hitting the store.

Day three with nothing new. Ouch.

I picked up a SGS yesterday, but the pickens are getting slim. Was 4th in line and it took me about 45 minutes of looking to find 1 to bring home.

Questions:

Are they running low of SGSs?

How many did you see?

What was their condition? ME and TE?

The SGSs I seen in early June were in the 1s and 2 and looked flawless. There was about 200 of them.

Think this over for a minute ... Orest has already said that he has no SG of FG to send up north (mail orders are continuing to pour in in close to record numbers, so all available stock is going to fill them - read the "order time line" thread the are still tring to fill SG & FG orders from from mid to late March ... 4 full months behind)

They have already run out of SA-SGS and again according to Orest since they found the group of crates with these almost perfect condition no stock rifles they have not found anymore. If all they have at NS when people visit during the National Matches is HRA-SGS, that is what they will buy (ok not everyone will but a lot will still buy what is available). I predict the demise of HRA-SGS is not far down the road ... in fact i am surprised they are still available.

Opinion may vary, but that what is great about our country. Expressing them is legal.

I sounds like the NM is somewhat responsible for the dry up the SGs and FGs. Hopefully later this year there will be some gems from new crates opened.

There is a whole warehouse of unopened crates. They are not gone.
Record sales and the shipping of rifles to the National Matches are running way ahead of inspections/production.
Give them a couple of months to catch up.

If they are 'shipping them to the NM,' they haven't shown up and, according to Orest, there will be no trucks to the NS this month.

I believe what Bob was referring to was that the CMP is not out of Garands. They have more in the warehouse, they just need to go thru the crates and inspect and inventory them so they may be ready for sale. This will take some time. Quite possibly not until next year.
