Default Please help identify this 1903 RIA/Springfield CMP Rifle

Hey Guys,

I'm new to the 1903 world. I stopped in the Anniston store a couple weeks back and this followed me home. I would appreciate some help in identifying exactly what I have. A gentleman that helped me in the store said it had a Smith Corona bolt on a Springfield receiver. What does the "H" on the bottom of the bayonet lug stand for? Also, picked up a couple of slings. Would appreicate any info you could give me on those as well. Thanks!

H stands for "hardened" and it appeared on all Springfield-made upper bands from ca. 1909-on.

The receiver dates to late 1918, te barrel may be original. The stock is a WWII-replacement Scant stock. The inspection stamp is from Rock Island - the FK is Frank Krack, who was head of small arms inspection at RIA from 1941 to 1946.
