Tried every-which way to get to George's service yesterday but ultimately, and sadly, could not. Maybe someone can share their experience from the services. Sure am sorry to have missed it.

So many people have offered help, etc. Tonight I spoke with my sister, Amy, and we realized we're going to need some boxes to take Dad's books and random personal items back with us when we clean his house. So, if you happen to have some extra boxes suitable for moving/storage, we welcome them! If you plan to attend the service, we'll just grab them the day of the memorial. I hope that's not asking too much.

If you get a minute, could you send me some information and pictures about your dad's life so we can add it to a article we are working on for our club newsletter.

We also added a tribute page about George on the club website. He was such a great guy!

George helped me pick out a few M1 Garands also. The nicest guy in the world, working in the place with the nicest customer service in the world. He helped me find a Garand with serial number ending in "99999" which makes me happy to this day. I am proud to say that I once brought him donuts at the North Store. Take care, George. You are missed.

again I will offer 200.00 to start a scholarship. Please just tell me where to send and maybe you guys out there can start to pledge. $5, 10, 20, from 250,000 members. Maybe awarded by CMP at Nationals. This GUY WAS A EXPERT AT m1'S AND A GENTLEMAN. Let me know guys. Can the CMP do this?

Has it been 7 years? Wow.

He was such a warm and knowledgeable person; he made everyone's NS visit,from first time buyer to long time collector, memorable.

More than once he would ask what you were looking for, and would magically make one appear.

Thanks for reviving the thread so we could all remember George.
