Default 7.62x51 on Estore

Help a brother out here!! Being new to 7.62x51 via my M1 Navy Mod 2 Garand build, is the ammo being sold on the Estore considered to be NATO? Thanks all . I am confused and understand there is a difference between 308 and 7.62x51 nato. Is this a third category of 7.62x51 with a no noted nato classification proper for my garand. Don't want to start a headspace issue here. just trying to learn what to buy for my nato barrelled Garand.

Chambers differ a bit as you would expect with a military vs sporting use.

No difference in ammo other than commercial ammo may have a heavy bullet and or slow powder that will result in high port pressure in GI guns. NATO ammo (7.62x51 is the metric designation for .308 ammo) should be OK in a Garand.

The 7.62x51 M80 being sold in the estore is: 1) Just fine for your Navy 7.62 NATO Garand, and 2) a pretty decent price.

Here is a thread discussing it:

The M118LR 7.62x51 currently also being sold in estore has a 175 grain bullet. It shoots fine or better.

Also time to repost this article since 7.62 and .308 were mentioned together.
