The Official IHC Serial Numbers Thread

I picked this up last Friday at the CMP store South.
IHC Service grade serial # 4445947 postage stamp.
LMR barrel 3/53 with the crossed cannon ordanance stamp, but no punch mark that I can see. The chamber is bright and I believe it to be original to the receiver.
The stock in not IHC I believe it is a springfield stock with no markings visible.

I picked this rifle up last Friday. It came with a Winchester stock that we discovered is cracked...badly. Mixed parts on the rifle.

4642691, Gap Letter built by Hook Boultin as a Rear Lug National Match, just picked it up yesterday. Civilian Wood and Douglas Heavy Premium .308 Barrel from Glen Nelson. Hand stamp NM top behind Front sight. Rifle must have been close to a correct rifle as it still has IHC Trigger Housing, IHC Op Rod, IHC Bolt, IHC Lock and GC Screw. Have not completely tore down and cleaned yet so not sure about guts but the Clip latch is early round front SA and Rear sights are GI National Match, the RS cover is late and could be IHC. Front gas cylinder is SA I think and front sight is SA WWII.

- Stock Barrel Channel Date and markings: GI wood, but not IHC. Has a P mark, no circle

- Serial Number: 4581479 Postage Stamp / SA 12-65 etched on right leg
- Barrel Mfg and Date: SA 10-65
- Stock Barrel Channel Date and markings: Bedded IHC 3134, DAS stamp, two circle P stamps, one without serif and not sure about the second.
- Owner: Ronwall

Also has NM op rod. IHC bolt. SA trigger group.
