Default CMP Advanced Maintenance Course.

Hello
Have you guys thought of streaming the class? Could make a lot more money for projects. I would sign up. I'm sure many more would. Thanks

Might as well just sell a dvd, because without all the parts, tools, and ability to “pause” for questions, I don’t think streaming would be very helpful.

Default Maintenance of Small Arms

Seems folks are looking for a way to be coached in Weapons Maintenance..

In 1956 I joined the UNITED STATES NAVY. As time passed, I was tasked more and more with Weapons training, weapons use and weapons overhauling. From replacing a firing pin, to replacing MATCH barrels on Garand Rifles. Don McCoy was my boss....I shot on NAVY and MARINE SERVICE RIFLE TEAMS with the 16, the M1, the M21/M14...and my favorite, the M60.
Over the years, there was NO issued weapon that I could not put to use, repair, or totally rebuild to NEW condition. The Garand and M14 Rifles, I can re-barrel in about 20 minutes.. Total refinishing with the proper parkerizing that I learned at ANNISTON Rebuild Facility in the early 70's. The 1911 family of weapons are so easy for me to repair, they are actually boring. I was also an Armorer for the U.S. ARMY...A STATE CHAMPION , SERVICE RIFLE..M14 ..and was a NAVY Champ with my buddy Mike Gorchinski..NAVY..M1 Garand...McCoy Rifle.
If..anyone needs advice, has a question about any of our GI Weapons...feel free to contact me....if...I have time, I will look here now and then...but..I am restoring 2 classic 1950's Ford's...and helping out with DAV..... would be best to email me.

I was very fortunate to attend the May 2018 AMC. WOW!!! What a fantastic experience. As a new M1 GARAND owner, the expertise of the AMC staff was VERY IMPRESSIVE. They were very helpful to me -- a real "newbie"-- . I ALWAYS wanted to own a piece of history and be able to "shoot" it. Also, I really needed to know "how" it worked (I am a visual learner) so that I could "try" and solve some of the malfunctions that will be "operator induced". There is so much to learn. I am most grateful for all the help that I got at AMC and sure miss the "deskside support". CMP/AMC -- MANY THANKS!!!

They tried a streaming class and it was a mess. People with different computer types, operating systems, internet issues.

They could also video it and put access to it as a fee based approach on the store. Use your store ID and limit the number of times you can log in to view.

I just finished the class today, and yes they will send you the info ahead of time with times and locations. I had a blast, the guys there are first class. I feel that this class has something for everyone, there were guys with little to no experience along with people with significantly more experience and to the instructors credit I feel that they capably handled everyone. Seeing a behinds the scene look at operations there really gives you an idea of the scope of what CMP does, itís quite impressive. The last day at Talledega was a blast, literally. I work daily in a gun store with an indoor range, but this place is pretty amazing, first class and high tech. Overall, I really recommend it for anyone that wants to learn more about the Garand.

I was in the AMC that concluded 1/31/19 as well. Very much time well spent. Not sure the class translates well to streaming or a DVD as so much of it is interacting with each other and the instructors. And the Tour (AWESOME) and the Range (Double AWESOME!)
