* PSA * -- Displaying and viewing pics...PLEASE READ!

All,
Seeing many posts that members cannot see posted pics in a thread. A cursory check reveals almost every person who posts this does not have their profile set to view images.
Some members previously had this enabled, and now it's not...most likely some of the latest updates to the site reset them.

Here's how you fix that:

1. Click on “User CP” (far left in blue header bar at top of page)
2. On the left side, scroll down to “Settings and Options” category, and click on “Edit Options”
3. Scroll down to “Thread Display Options”
4. Make sure “Show Images” is checked (see attached pic below)
5. Ensure you click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page before exiting.


Beyond that, there are some members who are still reporting they can't see posted images.
This has more to do with your OS and/or the type of browser you are using.
Firefox seems to be more problematic than Edge, Explorer, Chrome and Safari (Apple users).
If you have your profile set to display images as per the instructions above, then possibly try a different device and/or browser.

With every intention of not offending anyone, respectfully I have a browser and OS report:

Latest Firefox here, on a budget WIN10 64 Home machine (desktop PC). I realize that OS was not mentioned but it is a necessary variable.

Never any problems seeing pics on any forum.

When I rarely have issues seeing posted pics, it is almost always due to the poster not having resized them to fit in a browser.

Especially when they could have cropped them and kept the part you need to see the same size

Didn't solve my X-in a box photo issue (I had the correct setting), but it did solve the last posting first problem.

Still see almost every day someone not seeing pictures. Could help, only if they read.

Exact same thing here. I can right click the x in box then copy/paste the pic's url in my browser and open it but who wants to do all that. It happens on my PC using IE 11 and Firefox but not using Chrome on my Android phone.
