Looks like they got a second batch in? It was shipped in the March 2019, then again in sept 2019. I had mine before that time period.

Ya might try somethin' like "I request all information found in the Army File of the Department Of Defense (DOD) Small Arms/Light Weapons Registry for Pistol, .45ACP, M1911 (NSN: 1005-00-575-0004), Serial # XXXXX or Pistol, .45ACP, M1911A1 (NSN: 1005-00-726-5655), Serial # XXXXXXX."

Go to the below website, and click "create a request" - i used the pathway department of defense / depart of the army.

https://www.foia.gov/

This is how I phrased my request. I don't know if this is the best language, but its what I did. You can taylor it for whatever you are looking for: I am requesting the ownership history on a U.S. Rifle, Caliber .30, M1. Serial #xxxxxx, (m1 garand) including documentation of where issued and shipped to for service, arsenal, maintenance, and storage records for the years 1943 to present.
