Wait for your CMP rifle. Buying one before you know much about M1s is a classic mistake. Good Shooting........

+1 on all the recommendations. The biggest threats to a new buyer are probably "welded" receivers, drill conversions and shot out barrels. Unless you are prepared with guages and specifically know where and how to look for these, I would stick with the CMP. Pretty does not translate to "serviceable". No worries from CMP. Best guarantee around!
