abrugnone,

Pardon me for asking what may be a "dumb question" BUT inasmuch as the link doesn't work (it goes to a place that basically says that there is nothing here) do I have to pay sales tax at the South Store, IF I show up in person to buy my 8 RG rifles & some M2 Ball for 2020??
(I'm HOPING to find some "All GI" H&R or IH Garand rifles & maybe even a RG Model of 1917.)

I live in San Antonio, TX & am retired Army.

THANKS, tex

Local Tax rate is 10%, and they will collect it at time of sale.

AFJohn,

THANKS for the answer, though the answer is UNWELCOME. = I find that more than a bit ODD, inasmuch as the South Store is on a US Military post. = We here at Joint Base San Antonio/Ft Sam Houston in TX do NOT pay sales taxes for any item that we buy on post.

yours, tex

To my knowledge the south store is not on the military reservation. It is in the city / corporate limits of Anniston Al.

SATX,
CMP South Store is located in an industrial park with an Anniston address, not on a military installation.
DCM, I believe, was once located on Anniston Army Depot, which would be as you say.

Gyrene & PFC W,

IF I remember correctly, back in The Dark Ages when I was a student & later staff-member at USAMPS, the SS was ON Ft McClellan. - Of course, Planet Earth has turned many times since then.

Do you happen to know the price of the RG Garand rifles and/or Model 1917 rifles at the stores?? - I don't see a price for the RG on ODCMP.COM - It just says "sold out" on the website

SEMPER FI & THANKS, tex

The price list is here: https://forums.thecmp.org/showthread.php?t=257387

Not all rifles are available at all times in store. Ft. McClellan closed many years ago, so check the directions on the Stores webpage for the address.

FYI, you pay the sales tax on all purchases from the South Store, whether in-store or online, if you live in-state.

Rick

Not unless you are a resident of Ohio or Alabama:

Ordering Information
"Ohio residents add 7% tax. Alabama residents add 4% tax. Anniston residents add 10% tax."
