I ate at the Island House Hotel downtown Port Clinton one time and it was fantastic. Great lobster bisque and wonderful prime rib.

The Jolly Roger is worth the trip just to watch your delicious perch or walleye dinner work its way along the deep fryer conveyor belt behind the glass wall.

Now your making me hungry. I can't wait for next month when Kilroy and I make the journey to the NS. It's a full days drive from the east coast! March 20th seems like a year away.

Jim, I just checked it out. The Jolly Roger is on East Perry Street about a mile from where we're staying.

Jolly Rogers I don't think will be open then. I think they open in April.

OK, I gotta put my .02 in here. + 1 for Jolly Rogers, but if you like Italian/spaghetti try Phils Inn. It's almost right across the street from Jolly.
Good Hunting,

When I was at NS in July besides going to Lemmys for perch and breakfast and then dinner the next night at the jolly Roger for walleye, I visited McCarthys Pub too and we sat outside and had a pint and they allowed smoking outside, so we were able to enjoy a good cigar.

I just checked online and they list their winter hours as 11am to 8pm. As long as we don't get caught up in terrible weather or traffic we should get there in time.

If you're coming from Michigan, or passing through Toledo, try Tony Packo's. I always stop there on my way home from the NS for lunch. It's a cool experience, and somewhat Garand related, since they talked about it on M*A*S*H in several episodes.

Here's a little more info:
