I'm not optimistic about what'll be on the racks, but I do have one more purchase to hit my 12 for the year, so I might pick up something that jumps out at me, or maybe a B/R or Navy B/R for a vacation project for me.
They had a box of SA recievers last Wednesday..Some good, some, not so much. I had need for an HRA reciever but didn't figure to find one..

So if we are one of the folks hoping to get a good rifle via Magna's trip next week, I guess we're SOL? That's a bummer.

Chris has a way of pulling rabbits out of hats, I wouldn't worry too much. You may not get what you're expecting, but he's got a great eye for the little things that make a rifle really special.

If I wasn't planning a trip of my own, I'd be having Chris pick out my last one for the year on his next trip.

Yes Magna has a good eye. I can't believe if the truck came last week there was one day of good rifles and then they say no trucks til the new year. Strange things a foot..

Well I will keep my fingers crossed! It's supposed to be my Christmas present from my wife so if it doesn't happen I guess we can do it next year.

N.store did not get many SG's in their shipment. All were put out. They have many FG's in the back to fill the racks though.

I guess I can settle for a FG. I really wanted a nice rifle, but I also know that I won't have an opportunity to visit the store so I have to trust someone else to pick it out, and Magna is heading there next week. A friend of mine told me not to get a FG, but if that's all that's there, then I don't have a choice except to wait until next time Magna heads to the South Store. And even then, there's no guarantee that the exact same thing won't happen, with only a bunch of FGs left in the store when he gets there.

I wish I was stationed somewhere in Alabama or Ohio!

He CAN always pick out a nice Kimber.....those are worth their weight in gold!

$425 for a match grade rifle worth easily at least $600? or more!
