Default Question on Import stamp?

I was looking at an Inland the other day and it had an import stamp on the barrel that I can't find any info on. The barrel and receiver are stamped Inland. It has round bolt, adj. sights, bayo lug, 2 rivet handguard and the crossed cannons with the number 10 in the sling well.

The import stamp looks like "N.A. Co.". Beneath it was "Ridgefield NJ." At least it looks like Ridgefield, that part was light.

Any idea who the importer was on this one?

Thanks, AJ

Could that number "10" in the slingwell be an "IO" instead. If so then you have an Inland stock made by Overton for Inland.

Thank you Jess B. Guy, never thought of Navy Arms. I tried to google "importers of M1 Carbines" in NJ. and got zip.

After your help and looking for Navy Arms I see that they imported a TON of different military arms at one time or another.

Hink441, it could be an IO, I wasn't going to buy the weapon, one of my pals bought it along with 4 or 5 other guns and asked me if I knew anything about it. Figured I knew the place to ask.

I have my Dad's 10-43 ALL IBM "bring back" and don't think I'll find another one as nice as that one. One of these days I'm going to have to post some pics of it.

Thanks again for the help,
Tom
