70 to 80 cents a round. Nice ammunition, but why this over Greek? I know better.

But it's berdan brass. Is the accuracy worth the loss in salvage value?

Not for shooting at 200 yards or less, HXP is plenty accurate as long as you're not shooting 10 different headstamps.

The case I picked up years ago was a 155 gr FMJBT loading. It does shoot nice. Not sure about the 148 gr.

IIRC the Danish stuff was available through the CMP a long time ago, before HXP.

At least I thought I remember buying a fair amount of it from them, maybe I'm mistaken, but I had TONS of it in the early 2000's.

I shot it all up, and always remembered it as good, clean accurate ammo. It was before my reloading days, so I never paid any attention to how it was primed. I also remember when I was finally out of the Danish, and HXP became available, shooting and buying lots of HXP, and liking the Danish stuff better. In fact, of all the surplus ammo I have used over the years it might have been my favorite. If I had to rank them it would probably be this:

#1 Danish
#2 USGI LC stuff from the late 60's
#3 HXP
#4 Korean PS
#5 Everything else.....to included USGI WW2/early 50's corrosive stuff, Korean KA, that Pakistani stuff that pops up here and there, and probably a few more that I forget.

The all-time good deal on CMP ammo was back in 2001 at the Garand Match.

If you fired the match with a CMP-prepped M1, you could take the rifle home for $500. If you bought the rifle, you could then buy up to 10,000 rounds
of Lake City ammo for 5 cents a round. I broke the shock mounts on my wife's Lincoln on the way home that year.
