My 03A3 has a very low mile 2 groove barrel. Shooting 168 gr Sierra Internationals behind 48gr of 4064 this rifle shot 5 shot groups you could cover with a half dollar at 100 yds. They also think that the 2 grooves last a lot longer than the four grooves. Funny that Hatcher in "The Book Of the Garand" mentions 2 groove barrels on the M1.

Less isn't always more. Some of my favorite barrels have been the six groove offerings from Gensco, IL.
