Default Ns 5/25......

Hit the NS first thing this morning....the truck came in!
As of 10am...
National Postal Meter Carbines....10(told that's all they have)
Service Grades(all USGI stocks)...24 (some late 3.0 with original barrels)
Field Grades....15
Correct Grades WWII....9
Collector Grades SA......8
Collector Grades HRA.....7

I believe I saw posted that there was a limit of 1 till August 1st. Thought that was for the Service Grades, not sure on Field Grades.

Too late for me, 3+ hour drive and I'm booked tomorrow. It would have been nice to pick up a NPM carbine.

Thank You for the update. I'm planning a trip on Saturday and would love to add another carbine to my small collection.

As far as the NPM Carbine's and having 10 available and being told that's all they have is that to mean that's all the NPM's they have but they may have other maker Carbine's or that is all the Carbine's they have ? My GF and I are spending the weekend at Kalahari and she has agreed to visit the NS with me on Saturday.

I took it as the NPM's were all they had and whatever was in the rack was it. FWIW
So if that's true the pickings might be pretty slim for carbines come Saturday.

Pickings will be slim to dim. There were 2 left when I left at 1500 today. What's worse is leaving empty handed!! I should qualify this as I am basing how many on the comment above that said all they had were put out.

Curious about your comment ...because what they had was of poor quality or they didn't have what you were looking for?

Guess the poor quality--not an expert on the carbine by any means but maybe I was expecting the service grade to be a bit better. One was a possibility but another guy snagged it before I could get a second look. Oh well.......

Garands to me are a bit more straight forward--4 vendors, etc. Carbines could be mix masters as issued so gets a bit more difficult to stay on top of for me since I haven't done all my homework
