In the early 50's we lived on James Island SC. One morning my dad yelled for me to come outside, I thought I was in for a yelling. Instead he had called me our to see a huge airplane flying very low over us. It seemed to be moving slowly and the noise shook the ground. He told me it was a B-36 bomber. Never forgot the sight and sound of that plane.
