Yes, but not yet. I believe they start taking reservations for the National Matches sometime around the end of April.

This is from their web site: http://www.cplcc.com/index.html (they have not updated it from last year yet)

"Reservations can be requested by telephone beginning on April 29, 2009, and are assigned on a first come, first serve basis.

To request a reservation by telephone please call the Camp Perry Lodging Office at 1-888-889-7010 between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 9:00 P.M. EST, Wednesday through Saturday."

When should I call to arrange an individual bed in a hut for Small Arms Firing School? Im going to SAFS as an individual, not with a club or association. Not this time at least. I downloaded the 2010 NM Lodging procedures and "individual competitors" are "6th priority," with 1st priority being Support Organisations...specified as (NRA, CMP, OHANG, Commercial Vendors).

I want the "hut" experience for my first SAFS.

Not til april i think.Could be wrong on that.Huts are not as hard to get as the rest.I hope we get the barracks back this year. They are alot better than the huts.

Do the huts have electrical outlets in them? Just curious.

Stay in the huts. It is the best way to experience the National Matches. I wouldn't do it any other way. Save your money, you will want it to spend at Perry.
The smallest AC window unit you can get will make you very comfortable.
Some wooden slats or a piece of plywood cut to fit the racks is a good thing to have.
Have some sheets, a blanket (USGI wool of course), and a good pillow.
The more experienced really get into setting up their huts, with flags, canopies, and lawn chairs. CMP week at Perry is the best place on earth.
Don't let anything stop you from going.
