Default CMP Eastern Games

I saw the dates for the 2010 Eastern Games, but cannot find info on what matches are scheduled. Any information would be appreciated.

It is probably safe to assume the 2010 schedule will be close to what was done in previous Games matches. Expect multiple M1-1903-Vintage matches, a M1 Special EIC, M1Carbine, rimfire sporter and possibly hangun offerings. Asking Orest in his forum would be the best source for info at this time. Good Shooting.......

I see they have the dates, just not the individual match schedule. That'll probably be worked out soon. Can't wait.

I got the information from Gary on 10/30 so some things may have moved around since then:
-----
Ron:

The dates for the 2010 Eastern CMP Games have been moved back one week. The dates are as follows:

Saturday, 8 May, New Shooter Clinic, GSM Match I
Sunday, 9 May, As-Issued M1 Garand EIC Match, Rimfire Sporter Match, Competitor Barbecue
Monday, 10 May, GSM Match II, Carbine Match
Tuesday, 11 May, GSM Match III, final awards

These dates are locked in with the Camp Butner folks--I hope they will work for you. The match program should be out shortly after the first of the year.

Darn, I wonder if I could shoot both the Garand EIC and Rimfire Sporter on Sunday. Nothing like getting the snot kicked out of you with the Garand before shooting the Rimfire match!
Might have to try and make this.

Schedule should allow both. Garand EIC normally finishes up by 1pm, rimfire to follow.

At least that's how it has been last year.

I'll be getting back from Cancun Satuday night.. Just in time to get to Butner on Sunday AM! Then I'm guessing the Creemoor events will follow the CMP stuff...

So rimfire is shot in the afternoon? Do the different disciplines shoot from the same firing points?

The rimfire sporter match is fired at the pistol range. The Garand match is fired at range 4. If you have never been to Butner, you should go to the Games/Creedmoor cup.
This is a major event with the military teams, and shooters from all over. It is the next best thing to the Nationals. I wouldn't miss it for the world.
